Introductory remark

For reasons of efficiency, all annexes to the Practical Handbook for Border Guards dealing with national visa exemptions, in accordance with Regulation 539/2001 of 15 March 2001 listing the third countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when crossing the external borders and those whose nationals are exempt from that requirement, have been consolidated in one annex, i.e. Annex 8, as of 22 of November 2011.
 
The content of the previous Annex 8 is now reflected in point 1.1., of Annex 9 in point 2.2., of Annex 10 in points 1.2, 2.1, 2.3 and 3, and of Annex 11 in point 4.
