The Directorate of Immigration requests the Embassy's assistance in order to verify the following:

This means that the information must be treated in accordance with the requirements for information security and the duty of secrecy provided in the Personal Data Act and the Public Administration Act. Information that the person in question is an asylum seeker in Norway must not be provided to representatives of the authorities in the country of origin or to unauthorised parties.
